Summary:
Before changing your plan, consider that unused data or time from your previous plan will not be refunded, and downgrading from a yearly to a monthly plan will delete all cameras associated with the yearly plan, requiring reactivation. To change your plan, you can access the Defend Portal via the website or app. On the website, log in, navigate to "Your Plan," select "Change Plan Type," choose a new plan, verify billing information, and confirm the change.
Important Considerations Before Changing Your Plan:
- Data & Refunds: We strongly recommend waiting until closer to your current billing cycle to change your plan. Unused data or time from your previous plan is not refunded.
- Downgrading from Yearly to Monthly: If you downgrade from a yearly plan to a monthly plan, you will be immediately responsible for the new monthly plan. Crucially, canceling your yearly plan will result in the deletion of all cameras previously on that yearly plan from your account. After the cancellation is processed, you will need to reactivate these cameras under your new monthly plan.
Option 1: Navigate to the Defend Portal Directly
- Go to www.defendcellcam.com in your web browser.
- Alternatively, you can log into your account from www.tactacam.com and click the Defend Portal Button.
Option 2: Navigate to the Defend Portal from the App
- From the DEFEND app, tap the Menu button (three lines in the top left)
- Then you will tap the Account Icon (usually a person silhouette) in the middle of the menu tab
- Next, tap Plan.
- Scroll down and under "Plan Type" select your plan (Starter, Pro, or Premium)
- Next, click Change Plan Type towards the bottom of the screen. This will take you to the web portal. (You may have to sign in)
Once on the Website (Defend Portal):
- Log in to your account.
- Tap the Menu button (three lines icon in the upper left-hand corner)
- Select the Account (Person) Icon From the Menu.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Change Plan Type.
- Choose the plan you wish to switch to. Select Starter/Pro/Premium and then select continue.
