How to Share and Manage Tactacam DEFEND Cameras in the DEFEND App
Learn how to share your Tactacam DEFEND camera feed with other users, manage guest access, and view shared camera photos in the DEFEND mobile application.
Prerequisites
An active Tactacam DEFEND mobile application installed on your mobile device.
An active, registered DEFEND app account for both the camera owner (host) and the guest.
The registered email address of the user you want to share with (the recipient does not need an active camera or paid subscription plan to receive shared access).
Step-by-Step Instructions
How to Share a Camera Feed with Another User
Open the DEFEND App and log in.
From the Home screen, tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner).
Select Sharing.
Tap the Add Guest icon (person icon with a plus
+sign) in the upper-right corner.Enter the exact email address of the registered DEFEND user you want to share with.
Select the specific camera or cameras you wish to share.
Tap Share These Cameras.
How to Accept or Decline a Shared Camera Invitation
Open the DEFEND App.
Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner) and select Sharing.
Tap Sharing With at the top of the screen and switch the selection to Sharing With Me.

Locate the Invitations section:
To accept all pending invitations, tap Accept All.
To handle invitations individually, tap the Green Checkmark to accept or the Red X to decline.
How to View Photos From a Shared Camera
Open the DEFEND App.
Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) and select Sharing.
Tap Sharing With at the top and select Sharing With Me.

Select your viewing preference:
Tap Shared Feed to see a combined picture feed from all cameras shared with you.
Tap an individual user's name to view photos specifically from their shared camera.
Note: Push notifications are only sent when a camera is initially shared with you. You will not receive push notifications for individual new photos captured on shared cameras. Photos from shared cameras cannot be deleted or organized into custom app galleries, but they can be saved directly to your phone's photo library.
How to Pause or Stop Sharing Access
Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) and select Sharing.

Tap the user whose access you want to modify:
Temporarily pause access: Slide the toggle switch next to the camera name to OFF (turns from green to black). Slide it back to ON to restore access at any time.
Permanently remove a guest: Tap the user's email address, tap the Delete icon (person icon with an
X) in the upper-right corner, and select Delete Guest.
How to Remove Yourself From a Shared Camera (As a Guest)
Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) and select Sharing.
Tap Sharing With at the top and select Sharing With Me.
Tap the username of the account owner sharing with you, then tap the arrow next to their name.
Select the specific camera you wish to remove.
Tap the Trash Can icon in the upper-right corner to confirm removal.
Troubleshooting & Sharing Status Guide
Red Dot Indicator: A red dot next to Sharing With Me in the Sharing menu indicates a new, pending camera invitation.
Yellow Pending Status: The status next to a guest's name displays as Pending in yellow while waiting for the guest to accept or re-accept an invitation.
Declined or Removed Access: If a guest declines an invitation or deletes a shared camera, the host must re-share the camera from the app to restore access.
