Using Tactagroups for Group Camera Sharing

The Tactagroups feature allows multiple users to share and view images from a pooled set of cameras within a single collaborative group, ideal for managing cameras on shared properties or hunting leases. A Tactagroup simplifies management by centralizing camera sharing and access. The group is managed by a Leader, who can invite or remove members and delete the group. Invitations are sent via a unique link or QR code, valid for 15 minutes, and require a Reveal account. Each group can accommodate up to 25 members, including the Leader.

 

What is a Tactagroup?

 

A Tactagroup is a shared space where multiple users can view images from a pooled set of cameras. Instead of sharing each camera individually with each person, you simply add cameras and users to one group. This is the ideal solution for managing cameras on hunting leases, shared properties, or for any team that needs unified access to a pool of cameras without sharing them one by one.

The Group Leader Role

 

Each Tactagroup is managed by a Leader who has full administrative control. The user who creates the group is automatically assigned the Leader role.

Leader Permissions:

The Leader is the only user who can perform the following actions:

  • Invite New Members: Generate and share invitation links/QR codes.
  • Remove Members: Remove existing users from the group at any time.
  • Delete the Group: Permanently delete the entire Tactagroup.

 

Inviting Members to Your Tactagroup

 

You can easily invite others to join your group using a unique invitation link or QR code.

How it Works:

  1. The Group Leader generates a unique invitation link or QR code from within the group's settings.
  2. The Leader shares this link/QR code with the person they want to invite.
  3. The invited person clicks the link or scans the code to join the group.

Important Notes on Invitations:

  • 15-Minute Time Limit: For security, each invitation link and QR code is only valid for 15 minutes. If it expires, the Leader will need to generate a new one.
  • Reveal Account Required: Anyone who joins must have their own Reveal account.
  • Group Capacity: Each Tactagroup can have a maximum of 25 members, including the Leader.
