Accessing Weather Statistics for Your Camera Images

You can now access and utilize the weather statistics feature associated with your camera images within the application. This feature provides real-time weather conditions recorded at the time each photo was taken, offering valuable insights for your outdoor activities. Please note that accurate weather data relies on the correct zip code being associated with each camera.

Setting Up Zip Codes for Weather Statistics 

Adding a Zip Code for a New Camera:

  1. During the new camera setup process, you will be prompted to enter the zip code after you have successfully added the camera to the application.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to input the correct zip code for the camera's location.

Setting the Zip Code for Existing Cameras:

  1. When you select an existing camera from your camera list for the first time after this feature is enabled, you will be prompted to set the zip code.
  2. Enter the correct zip code for the camera's location when prompted.
  3. Once the zip code is set, weather data will be associated with newly captured photos from that camera.

Updating the Zip Code:

You can update the zip code for a camera at any time:

  1. Navigate to the "Camera Details" tab for the specific camera you wish to update.
  2. Locate the setting for the zip code and enter the new zip code.
  3. Save your changes.

By ensuring the correct zip code is associated with each camera, you can effectively utilize the weather statistics feature for your captured images.

Accessing and Utilizing Weather Statistics

To access the Statistics feature and view weather data:

  1. From the application's home page, locate the menu icon, typically represented by three horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Tap on the three lines to open the main menu.
  3. From the menu options, select "Statistics".

Within the Statistics section, you can filter the data displayed by selecting a specific Data Set:

  • Camera: View statistics specific to individual cameras.
  • Tag: Analyze statistics based on user-defined tags applied to photos.
  • Gallery: Review statistics for all photos within a specific gallery.

After selecting a Data Set, you can view the averages for various weather and contextual information associated with the filtered photos, including:

  • Temperature
  • Wind Direction
  • Sun & Moon Phases
  • Time of Day
  • Tags
  • Barometric Pressure

By leveraging these filtering and data options, you can gain valuable insights into the environmental conditions under which your photos were captured.
