This guide provides step-by-step instructions for powering on your Defend 360 cellular camera and understanding its initial LED (Light-Emitting Diode) status indicators.
Prerequisites
- A charged internal battery pack or fresh, fully charged batteries.
- Access to the POWER switch located beneath the protective rubber port cover on the side of the camera.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Open the protective rubber cover on the side of your camera to locate the control panel.
- Locate the POWER switch next to the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port and reset button.
- Slide the switch to the ON position to power on the device.
- Observe the STATUS LED indicator to confirm the camera is searching for a cellular signal and connecting properly.
- Securely close the rubber cover to protect the internal ports from weather and moisture.
Troubleshooting / LED Guide
- Solid Red Status Light: The camera is powered on and starting up.
- Flashing Red Status Light: The camera is searching for a local cellular network signal.
- Flashing Blue Status Light: The camera has found cellular signal and is connecting to the server.
- Solid Blue Status Light: The camera is connected to the server and remains in setup mode for 2 minutes.
- Flashing Red and Green USB Light: No battery detected. Check that your battery is properly inserted and charged.
