Summary:
To safely charge your REVEAL FlexPack battery, use only the supplied cable with a 5V, 3A charging adapter in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from flammable materials. Before plugging it in, inspect the battery and cable for any damage or swelling, and never attempt to charge a compromised battery. For the best performance and lifespan, charge the battery fully at room temperature (between 32°F and 113°F), avoid frequent partial charges, and unplug it once all LEDs are solidly lit. Note that the camera door must be fully open to insert or remove the FlexPack, and if you plan to store the battery for an extended period, leave it at a 40–60% charge in a cool, dry place.
Read Before Using:
Use only the included charging cable: Always use the supplied charging cable and a 5V, 3A USB-C charging adapter.
Charge in a safe location: Charge the FlexPack in a cool, dry area away from flammable materials or extreme temperatures. Do not charge the battery on a bed, sofa, or in any area where airflow is restricted.
Avoid overcharging: Overcharging can reduce battery life and pose safety risks. Do not exceed the recommended charging time or voltage.
Charge at room temperature: Avoid charging the battery in temperatures below 32F (0C) or above 113F (45C), as this may damage the battery or affect its performance.
Do not charge if damaged: If the battery has been dropped, exposed to liquid, or shows signs of damage, do not charge it and contact Tactacam customer service for assistance.
When possible, avoid partial charges: Frequent partial charges can shorten the battery’s lifespan. When possible, charge the battery fully.
Storage: If you plan to store the battery for an extended period, it’s recommended to store it at around 40-60% charge. Avoid leaving it in a fully charged or empty state for long periods.
How to Charge:
- Ensure the battery and charging cable are in good condition:
- Inspect the battery for any visible damage or swelling. If damaged, do not charge and dispose of it properly.
- Inspect the charging cable for any frayed wires or defects.
- Connect the battery to the charging cable’s USB-C connector. Insert the other end of the USB-C cable into the adaptor port. Ensure it is securely connected.
- Connect the charging adaptor to a power outlet and ensure the outlet provides a stable power supply.
- Once the battery reaches a full charge (all LEDs are illuminated and not blinking), disconnect the battery from the charger.
- Store the battery properly after charging. If not using the battery immediately, store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving the battery fully charged or completely discharged for extended periods, as this can reduce its lifespan.
Note: The camera door must be opened all the way to get the battery tray or FlexPack R5 or R10 power system in/out.
