How to Change Modes:
- On the display screen, swipe from left to right.
- Tap on the "Mode" option on the display to cycle through and change your desired mode.
- The Power Button LED will change to the color corresponding to the chosen mode (Green, Blue, or Light Blue).
Blackout Mode
Blackout Mode allows you to operate your camera without any visible indicator lights, providing a discreet filming experience, particularly useful in low-light environments where you don't want to spook game.
How to Enter Blackout Mode:
- Connect your Tactacam 6.0 to the Tactacam Connect App.
- From the App's main page, select "Settings."
- Choose "Camera Settings."
- Scroll down to "Blackout Mode."
- Select Blackout Mode and turn it "On."
When in Blackout Mode:
- All camera functions will remain the same.
- There will be no visible indicator lights from the camera's LEDs.
- You will rely solely on vibrations for status feedback:
- 2 Vibrations: Camera is currently recording.
- 1 Vibration: Camera is paused.
Lost or Confused? If you ever become disoriented about the camera's status in Blackout Mode, simply push and hold the power button for 5 seconds to power the camera off.
Battery Indicator in Blackout Mode: The Tactacam 6.0 does not have a blinking battery indicator light in Blackout Mode. You can check the camera's battery life by connecting to the Tactacam Connect App when in Blackout Mode.
Special Recording Modes: Loop, Shooting, & Fishing Modes
The Tactacam 6.0 offers specialized recording modes that enhance your ability to capture and save key moments efficiently. Loop, Shooting, and Fishing Modes are all variations of the "Loop Mode" functionality and can be selected within any of the three main preset modes.
Understanding Loop Mode: Loop Mode allows the camera to continuously record. When a key moment is identified (either automatically or manually), that specific segment of video is saved, and the camera continues recording over the older, unsaved footage, optimizing SD card space.
- Shooting Mode:
- When this mode is active and you begin recording, the motion or shock of a shot (e.g., from a firearm) will automatically mark and save the video segment associated with that event.
- The saved video will typically include footage from 1 minute before and 1 minute after the marked event.
- Fishing Mode & Loop Mode (Similar to Fish-i):
- When either Fishing Mode or general Loop Mode is active, you can manually mark a video to save by pressing the power button on either the camera or the remote control.
- This will save the segment of video around the moment you pressed the button.
- To Pause Video in these modes: Tap the camera's screen and then confirm you want to pause the video.
