Summary:
If your REVEAL SK camera's Wi-Fi light fails to turn on or the SD light shows red or orange, try formatting the SD card or replacing it with a new, compatible one. To format the SD card, switch the camera to the SETUP position and ensure the Wi-Fi light blinks blue, then use the REVEAL app to connect and format the card. If formatting doesn't work, replace the SD card.
Format the SD Card:
- What to Do: If the red status light persists after retrying the test photo, the most common culprit is the SD card. You should first attempt to format the SD card, and if that doesn't work, replace it.
-
Format SD Card in App:
- Switch the camera to the SETUP position.
- Wait for the Wi-Fi light to start blinking blue. This means the camera's Wi-Fi is ready for pairing.
- Important: If the blue light stops blinking at any point, the connection has dropped. Restart the steps from the beginning.
- Open the REVEAL app on your device and log in.
- Tap the Account icon in the app.
- Select "Connect to Reveal Wi-Fi."
- Follow all on-screen instructions carefully.
- Once your phone successfully connects to the camera’s REVEAL Wi-Fi (you’ll see a solid blue light on the camera and a prompt to Join the network on your phone). A live preview from your camera will appear on your phone.
- Format your SD card through the app to ensure proper operation
Replace SD Card:
- If formatting doesn't resolve the issue, or if the SD card is old/damaged, power off your camera.
- Remove the existing SD card and insert a new, compatible SD card.
- Important: Use a Class 10, U3 SD Card (16 GB- 32 GB) with a minimum write speed of 90MB/Sec. Incompatible or slow cards can cause errors.
