Summary:
This article covers how to reactivate and resume cellular data service for a suspended or paused Tactacam REVEAL cellular trail camera using the mobile application.
Prerequisites
An active REVEAL app account.
A valid credit or debit card linked to your account for billing plan billing.
A compatible REVEAL camera previously registered to your account.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Note: The system processes camera renewals one camera at a time. If you have multiple cameras to reactivate, you must complete this process for each individual device.
Open the REVEAL app on your mobile device and ensure you are on the Home tab.
Tap the Camera icon located in the navigation menu at the bottom of the screen.
Locate your camera. If no cameras are immediately visible, tap the drop-down arrow next to the Camera Location where your specific camera is listed.
Select your camera's details by tapping either the battery or signal strength icon right next to the camera's name.
Tap Camera Actions from the menu options provided.
Scroll down and tap Resume Camera Service.
Confirm your choice in the pop-up window by tapping the green Resume Camera Service button, then tap Yes to finalise the reactivation.
Troubleshooting / LED Guide
Status Light Flashing Green: The camera is actively attempting to re-establish a connection with the cellular network after service resumption. This can take up to 5-10 minutes.
No Signal Status Bars in App: If the app does not update immediately after resuming service, power the camera off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on to force a fresh network check-in.
Red Error Light: If a red light appears after attempting activation, verify that your payment method on file is current and has not expired.

Identifying Your Cameras for Reactivation:
If you have multiple cameras and need to identify a specific one for reactivation, you can use the following methods to match your physical camera to its listing in the app:
Method 1: Using the QR Code
- Locate the QR code sticker on your physical camera.
- Use your smartphone's camera app to scan the QR code. This will typically display the camera's IMEI-ICCID number.
- In the REVEAL app, find the corresponding IMEI-ICCID by following these steps:
- Tap the Camera icon at the bottom of the Home screen.
- Tap the name of the Camera Location.
- Tap the battery icon or signal icon next to the camera name you want to identify.
- Scroll down and select Device Info.
- Compare the IMEI-ICCID displayed here with the one you obtained from scanning the QR code.
Method 2: Using the SIM Card Number
- Carefully remove the SIM card from the physical camera you want to identify.
- Note the last five digits of the SIM card number.
- In the REVEAL app, access the camera's details by following the same steps as in Method 1 (steps 3.1 through 3.4).
- In the Device Info, locate the ICCID number.
- Compare the last five digits of the SIM card you removed with the last five digits of the ICCID displayed in the app to identify the correct camera.
