Step 1: Make sure your Tactacam is fully shutdown. Be sure to have the SD Card in the camera. Unscrew the audio or waterproof end cap and attach the provided USB cord to the Tactacam then to the computer as well. Step 2: Using a Windows computer:
- After attaching the Tactacam, you will need to click on either “My Computer” (Windows XP) or “Computer” (Windows Vista, 7 or 8.1). *Either of which can easily be found by clicking on the Windows Start Menu button located in the lower left of your computer screen. Once here, you will see 2 additional drives, one of the drives will be the SD Card and the other will be the Tactacam itself (only used for changing the date and time – this provides no additional storage). You will need to open both to know which of the two is the SD Card (depending on your Tactacam, it may name the SD Card “Tactacam SD”).
Using a Mac:
- After attaching the Tactacam to your Mac computer, you will see 2 available drives located on your desktop. You will need to open both to know which of the two is the SD Card (depending on your Tactacam, it may name the SD Card “Tactacam SD”).
- At this point, you can drag and drop the file(s) onto your desktop or to a specific folder by holding down and left clicking.
