How to Format Your Camera's Memory

To reformat your SD card or internal memory which will erase everything and make it like new again, you will need to do so at the camera via the camera's WiFi or camera's screen (Gen 1, X Pro, X Pro 3.0) OR you are now able to format your Camera's memory via the app.  Please follow the steps below. 

Please note: Memory Formatting via the App is not available on Gen 1 cameras.

In the App: 

1. From the home screen, select Cameras from the bottom of the screen
2. Select the Camera you wish to format the memory of
3. On the Camera Information page, scroll to the bottom and click Format Camera Memory
4. Click on the red button to proceed with formatting your camera memory.

At the Camera:

For the Gen 1 REVEAL: You can do this on the camera in setup mode by pushing the up arrow and then the menu button.

For the REVEAL X, XB, SK, X2.0, X3.0: You can do this when connected to the camera's WIFI. Note: You must do this with the camera in hand. It does not connect to WIFI remotely.

To format on the REVEAL X Pro, X Pro 3.0 :

1. Power on Camera

2. Hit Right arrow to get into Menu

3. Right arrow over to General

4. Arrow down and highlight Format SD card

5. Hit enter to format.
