How FOTA Works
Firmware Over the Air simplifies the update process by allowing users to initiate updates remotely via the camera's app. This means the camera will automatically download and install the update the next time it connects to the network, ensuring minimal disruption.
Requirements for FOTA Updates
To ensure a smooth update process, certain conditions must be met:
App Interface: Reveal App will need to be updated to 4.0.3
Battery Life: The camera must have at least 40% battery life of internal batteries remaining to initiate and complete the firmware update.
If you are using only an external power source and you get the warning below, please update your app to 4.0.3; this will allow you to update the firmware with an external battery if you have internal batteries reading at least 40%
If you receive this warning with or without an external battery, it lets you know that it needs a 40% internal battery to get the firmware update.
