SD cards can fail or cause an image not to be sent to your APP. It is always good practice to reformat and use newer Cards. If you're seeing occasional gray images or even partial images it’s most likely happening because of cell service. Cameras go in and out of service or hook to an old 2G Tower just like your cell phone sometimes goes out of service and good areas. However, you should not see gray images in every photo.
Please be sure you are using a 16 or 32GB Sandisk, Lexar, or Tactacam Class 10, U3 Full-size SD card.
Format your SD card in your camera:
For Gen 1 REVEAL: In SETUP mode, press MENU and the up arrow.
For REVEAL X Pro:
1. Power on the Camera
2. Hit the Right arrow to get into Menu.
3. Right arrow over to General.
4. Arrow down and highlight "Format SD".
5. Hit enter to format.
6. Left arrow over and select "Yes"
7. Hit "Enter" to confirm and format.
For the REVEAL X, XB, SK, X2.0: You can do this when connected to the camera's WIFI. Note: You must do this with the camera in hand. It does not connect to WIFI remotely.
